Peach State AerodromeGuests attending the 2017 Wings Over Golden Isles air show can experience the aerial action through our Vintage Aircraft rides program!  Guests can reserved a seat or purchase a ticket on-site and climb aboard the WWII era B-25 Panchito or Viet Nam era “HUEY” support or the “COBRA” attack helicopter. 

These aircraft assets are operated by the Delware Aviation Museum and Army Aviation Heritage Foundation flight teams.  All riders will enjoy a safe flight experience seeing the scenic Coastal Georgia landscapes!


B-25 Panchito

It’s often said to truly understand a man, you should walk a mile in his shoes. For a limited time, the Delaware Aviation Museum is proud to offer you the chance to not only walk a mile in the shoes of the greatest generation but soar on the wings of the legendary B-25 Mitchell bomber.

Experience the thrill of flight from the crew positions of the B-25 aircraft made famous by the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders.  Panchito will arrive at the Golden Isles on Wednesday, March 22 offering war bird experience rides through Sunday.

  • How long is the flight?
    Each flight is approximately 30 minutes, from engine start-up to engine shutdown.
  • What is the cost per flight?
    $425.00 per seat (subject to change, dependent upon venue).
  • What is the appropriate dress for a flight?
    Casual wear – dresses, sandals (or other open-toed shoes) are discouraged.
  • Are children allowed to fly?
    Yes. Children under 18 years of age can fly ONLY if accompanied by a parent or an adult family member.
  • How do I make a War Bird Ride reservation?
    Call 443-458-8926 to reserve your seat and flight time. Seat Assignments and prime time flights are first come first served. Make your Reservation early.

UH-1 “HUEY” HelicopterWarbird Ride in the HUEY helicopter

Presented by the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation, the UH-1 “HUEY” helicopter ride will be a patriotic and inspirational experience! The UH–1 “HUEY” entered U.S. Army service in 1958 with more than 9,440 different aircraft having been procured over thirty five years. The HUEY was the first mass-produced turbine powered helicopter to enter Army service.

This version, the UH–1H, was designed as a troop transport and could carry ten soldiers and a crew of three. The HUEY is widely identified with the Vietnam War and remains in Army National Guard service to date. The HUEY has been a true “work horse” of modern Army Aviation.

  • General Public: $75 Per Person (6-8 Minute Ride)
  • Veterans: $70 Per Person (6-8 Minute Ride)

Passenger Qualifications

  • Physically able to care for themselves
  • No health restrictions for flight
  • Minimum age of 5 years old
  • Maximum 5 minors (Ages 5-10 yrs.) per flight
  • Aircraft seat belt must be able to fasten securely
  • Passenger liability release
  • Minors must accompanied by Adult

AF-1F “Cobra” HelicopterWarbird Rides on the COBRA helicopter

Presented by the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation, the AF-1F “Cobra” helicopter ride will be a patriotic and inspirational experience! The AH-1F Cobra Attack Helicopter was designed at inception as America’s first true attack helicopter. Our aircraft sport proven combat pedigrees and, combined with their gleaming Black and Gold paint scheme, have a striking presence on the ground and in the air.

  • All Passengers: $325 Per Person (8-10 minutes)
  • All Passengers: $525 Per Person (13-15 minutes)

  • Physically able to ingress / egress aircraft under own ability without assistance
  • No health restrictions for flight
  • Minimum age: 16 years old
  • Aircraft Seat Belt must be able to fasten securely
  • Passenger liability release
